Almost 500 railway stations will soon have airport level lighting in the premises.
Work on improvement of lighting is now underway at almost 500 stations, identified a few months ago, on Indian Railways. The plan is to ensure illumination levels at par with the standard set for airports.
Work on all stations is tentatively expected to be completed by the end of April 2019.
