VALIDITY OF AUTOMATIC TICKET VENDING MACHINES (ATVM) SMART CARDS EXTENDED UPTO 30TH SEPTEMBER, 2020 DUE TO NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWN
In view of the ongoing nationwide lockdown, the Ministry of Railways has reviewed the matter pertaining to the validity of ATVM smart cards used for the purchase / issue of tickets from Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) and it has been decided that the smart cards, whose validity has expired on or after 22nd March, 2020 or which is set to expire upto 30th June, 2020 shall be extended and will be treated as valid till 30th September, 2020.
Passengers are requested to kindly take note of this important decision regarding extension of validity period of ATVM smart cards.
