Chairman Railway Board and Vice Chairman Niti Aayog inspected the vital Khurja-Dadri Section of DFCCIL. This section is the connecting link between the Eastern & Western Dedicated Freight Corridors having the capacity to run Heavy Haul & Long Haul Freight trains at 100 kmph.
Efficient high-performance machines like New Track Construction machines which can lay 1.5 Km. track on daily basis are being used. The overall cost is pegged at Rs 81,459 crores.
The first phase involving the construction of Western DFC (1504 Route km) and Eastern DFC (1856 route km) spanning a total length of 3360 route km, will be completed by Dec 2021.
