Central Railway RPF puts a check on illegal booking of tickets – Tout apprehended
Central Railway officials working at the Head Quarters on 26.11.2019, marked some suspected personal user identity (including id-d21122) to Inspector/RPF- Crime Intelligence Branch(Data Wing) for verification.
On the basis of this information, a team consisting of an Assistant Inspector RPF/CIB, CIB Staff and a lady RPF constable in collaboration with the City Police, Pune, raided Bhakti Travels and Services, Pune. The travel operator Manoj Bhanvaradas Jain was arrested and 95 e-tickets worth Rs.4,11,752/- were seized.
As per data verified from IRCTC, business to the extent of Rs.44,38,160/- had been conducted from January-2018 till date by creating 86 personal user Ids.
ANMS software used for ticket booking was also found on his computer.
The arrested tout has been handed over to RPF, Hadapsar.
This is another dedicated effort by the Central Railway RPF in its relentless pursuit of putting an end to ticket blackmarketing.
