A total of Rs 203.7 crore has been earmarked as capital outlay for constructing new lines on the Central Railway. Of this, Ahmednagar – Beed – Parli Vaijnath new line received a plan outlay of capital worth Rs 100 crore for FY20 in the budget announced by Piyush Goyal (Minister for Finance, Railways and Coal). Another new line which has received a significant plan outlay as capital is Wardha – Yavatmal – Nanded section via Pusad. The line has received Rs 100 crore.
Allocation has also been done under the head’s safety fund of Rs 150 crore and deposit of Rs 300 crore for the Beed line while the same number is Rs 50 crore and Rs 200 crore respectively for the Wardha Nanded line.
