Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS)/Eastern Circle inspected doubling work between Ratanpur – Jamalpur (6.35Km) of Eastern Railway’s Malda division on Sunday.
This is the last patch of south approach of Munger- Ganga rail cum road bridge Project.Speed trial was done up to a speed of 125Kmph. Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS) accorded all important authorization at speed of 90 Kmph.
The section consists of a 341 metre long lined horse shoe shaped tunnel.
Works involved modification of 300 out of the 543 routes at Jamalpur Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) besides new Electronic Interlocking of Ratanpur.
