Work on more sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) is nearing completion, with trials on WDFC’s 306 km Madar-Rewari-Kishangarh-Balawas section being recently conducted.

Similarly, trials have also been completed on EDFC’s 194 km Khurja-Bhadan section.
Work on the 128 km Madar–Marwar section of WDFC and 149 km of EDFC’s Bhadan-Bhaupur section are currently in progress and targeted for completion in this financial year. Track linking work of approximately 700 km is expected to be completed by 15th February 2019.

Work on 77 km on EDFC and WDFC together has been delayed due to land acquisition issues at the Etawah detour and in the Madar-Durai section respectively.
