Double Line Commissioning On Tulukapati-Kovilpatti Section: Train Services To Be Affected

Southern Railway has announced the cancellation of several train services as a result of double line commissioning work between Tulukapati and Kovilpatti. The stretch is located on Madurai Division‘s Madurai to Tirunelveli line. Services will be affected from 26th March to 2nd April 2022.

Full cancellation of train services for Double Line Commissioning Between Tulukapati-Kovilpatti

Train No. 22627 Tiruchchirappalli Jn – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express scheduled to Tiruchchirappalli Jn at 07.10 hrs will be cancelled on 26^th, 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st March, 01^st and 02^nd April 2022.

Train No. 22628 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Tiruchchirappalli Jn Superfast Express scheduled to Thiruvananthapuram Central at 11.35 hrs will be cancelled on 26^th, 27^th, 28^th,  29^th, 30^th, 31^st March, 01^st and 02^nd April, 2022.

Train No. 16861 Puducherry – Kanniyakumari Weekly Express scheduled to leave Puducherry at 12.00 hrs will be cancelled on 27^th March 2022.

Train No. 16862 Kanniyakumari – Puducherry Weekly Express scheduled to leave Kanniyakumari at 13.50 hrs will be cancelled on 28^th March 2022.

Partial Cancellation of Services Double Line Commissioning Between Tulukapati-Kovilpatti

Train No. 16191 Tambaram – Nagercoil Jn Antyodaya Express scheduled to leave Tambaram at 23.00 on 25^th, 26^th, 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st March and 01^st April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Virudunagar Jn and Nagercoil Jn. The train will not run between Virudunagar Jn and Nagercoil Jn.

Train No. 16192 Nagercoil Jn – Tambaram Antyodaya Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil Jn at 15.45 hrs on 26^th, 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th  March & 02^nd April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn and Virudunagar Jn.  The train will commence its journey from Virudunagar Jn at its scheduled departure time of 18.40 hrs. 

Train No. 16321 Nagercoil Jn – Coimbatore Jn Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil Jn at 06.25 hrs on 26^th, 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st  March 01^st and 02^nd April,  2022 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn – Madurai Jn. The train will commence journey from Madurai Jn at its scheduled departure time of 12.00 hrs on mentioned days.  

Train No. 16322 Coimbatore Jn – Nagercoil Jn Express scheduled to leave Coimbatore Jn at 08.00 hrs on 26^th, 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st March, 01^st and 02^nd  April, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Madurai Jn and Nagercoil Jn. The train will not run between Madurai Jn and Nagercoil Jn on mentioned days.

The train will commence journey from Tirunelveli Jn at its scheduled departure time of 19.40 hrs on mentioned days.

Train No. 16730 Punalur – Madurai Jn Express scheduled to leave Punalur at 17.20 hrs on 27^th, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st  March, 01^st April, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli Jn and Madurai. The train will not run from Tirunelveli Jn to Madurai Jn on mentioned days.  

Train No. 11021 Dadar – Tirunelveli Jn Express scheduled to leave Dadar 21.30 hrs on 26^th , 29^th, 30^th March, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Virudunagar Jn and Tirunelveli Jn. The train will not run from Virudunagar Jn to Tirunelveli Jn on mentioned days. 

Train No. 11022 Tirunelveli Jn – Dadar Tri-Weekly Express scheduled to leave Tirunelveli Jn at 15.15 hrs on 28^th, 31^st March 01^st  April, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli Jn and Virudunagar Jn. The train will commence journey from Virudunagar Jn at its scheduled departure time of 17.00 hrs on mentioned days.   

Train No.16729 Madurai Jn – Punalur Express scheduled to leave Madurai Jn at 23.25 hrs on  28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st March & 01^st, 02^nd April, 2022will be partially cancelled between Madurai Jn and Tirunelveli Jn. The train will commence journey from Tirunelveli Jn at its scheduled departure time of 02.45 hrs on 29^th, 30^th, 31^st March, 01^st, 02^nd, 03^rd April, 2022 respectively.

Train No. 16236 Mysuru – Tuticorin Express scheduled to leave Mysuru at 18.20 hrs on 28^th, 29^th, 30^th, 31^st  March, 01^st April,  2022 will be partially cancelled between Virudunagar and Tuticorin. The train will not run from Virudunagar to  Tuticorin on mentioned days. 

Train No. 16235 Tuticorin – Mysuru Express scheduled to leave Tuticorin at 17.15 hrs on 29^th, 30^th, 31^st March, 01^st, 02^nd April, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tuticorin and Virudunagar. The train will commence journey from Virudunagar Jn at its scheduled departure time of 19.00 hrs on mentioned days.
