In reference to Fire in Ajmer-Puri Train Engine:
Station Manager of Handapa Station between Boinda and Saragipali Stations in Angul-Sambalpur Railway Section under Sambalpur Division of ECoR detected the suspected smoke in the Engine of 18422 Ajmer-Puri Express at about 1315hrs, today when approaching to Handapa Station and detained the train.
Engine of the train has been detached and smoke/fire has been extinguished at 1345hrs.
Another Engine of the train used to work out the train.
Fire extinguished at 1350hrs
Engine (Loco) detached at 1355hrs and backed on Route-1 at 1405hrs.
Reserve Loco ready at 1435hrs.
Train left from the Station at 1440hrs.
Total detaention of the train is about 01 hours 25minutes.
