Commissioner of Railway Safety (Eastern Circle) Suvomoy Mitra inspected the newly doubled 8-km long Harinagar -Chamua section on Wednesday.
The section is a part of the Sagauli – Valmikinagar doubling project located in the Samastipur division of East Central Railway (ECR).
The CRS inspected the permanent way, bridges and culverts along the section besides conducting a 130-kmph speed trial.
With this, a total of 19 kms of the 110-km Sagauli – Valmikinagar line has been doubled . Doubling of the 11-km section between Sathi and Narkatiaganj was completed in March 2022. Doubling works are being done on the remaining portions of this line.
