Due to a five hour traffic block (from 11.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs) on January 15,2021 for S&T testing towards commissioning of Electronic Interlocking at Joychandipahar station in Adra Division of South Eastern Railway (SER), the following trains will be regulated:-
I) 68046/68045 Asansol-Adra-Asansol MEMU Passenger will remain cancelled on 15.01.2021.
II) 08184 Danapur-Tatanagar Express Special will be controlled for about 90 mins in Asansol –Joychandipahar section on 15.01.2021.
SER prioritises rolling stock safety
SER’s mechanical department up to December 2020 has successfully turned out 127 mainline coaches including 26 AC and 101 non- AC and 16 numbers of LHB coaches. A total of 24 EMU/MEMUs have also been turned out as against the target of 23.
Despite the difficulties due to Covid-19 ROH (Regular Overhaul) of 1293 wagons was done by all Divisions of SER divisions as against 1289 wagons in December 2019.The cumulative wagon ROH out turn during the current financial year has been 8567.
Apart from this, regular rake sanitisation of all the trains of South Eastern Railway have been done. Two numbers of automatic sanitiser dispenser machine have been installed at EMU Car Shed at Tikiapara.
Bhubaneswar Bangriposi special
SER has started running a Superfast Express Special train between Bhubaneswar and Bangriposi during the period from 12th January 2021. This will be run until March 1,2021,SER said in a statement.
Train number 02892 Bhubaneswar-Bangriposi Special leaves Bhubaneswar daily at 17.30 hrs from 12th January to 28th February, 2021 and will arrive Bangriposi at 23.05 hrs, the same day.
In the return direction, train number 02891 Bangriposi – Bhubaneswar Special leaves Bangriposi daily at 04.20 hrs starting from 13th January to 1st March,2021 and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 10.00 hrs, the same day.
The train will stop at Rajaluka, Baripada, Krishnachandrapura, Betnoti, Jogal, Jugpura, Thakurtota, Rupsa, Balasore, Soro, Markona, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road and Cuttack between Bangriposi and Bhubaneswar.
