The newly electrified Tinpahar -Sahibganj section of Eastern Railway’s Malda Division covers 38 route kilometre ( 108 track kilometre). Electrification will be providing smoother and faster services to the passengers, and will also result in cost-effectiveness and fuel efficiency thus saving Railway revenue.
Punctuality of services will be improved and there will be a reduction in the pollution level.
Commissioner of Railway Safety(CRS) has inspected this section and has given his approval for introduction of passenger and goods traffic on the newly electrified section.
