General Manager North Central Railway (NCR) and North Eastern Railway (NER) Vinay Kumar Tripathi inspected the combined crew lobby at Prayagraj Jn Station on Thursday.
This combined crew lobby caters to crew requirements between Prayagraj-Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Prayagraj-Kanpur, Prayagraj-Manikpur and other directions for running coaching and goods trains.

He also interacted with other staff such as loco inspectors and other officials involved in train operations to assess the route learning especially, yard layouts, signal locations and other important installations in yard for safe train operations. Also inspected was the Covid-19 related arrangements in the crew lobby to protect running staff from the pandemic.
Later during the day, the GM also reviewed safety, punctuality, freight loading, mobility improvement works, revenue generation, scrap sale and other important performance parameters over NCR.
This year to date, NCR has maintained an average speed of 44.70 kmph for good trains registering an improvement of 85 per cent over last year. The GM felt that inputs needed for 50 kmph plus average speed on regular basis be given on priority.
