Indian Railways is running an average of 1,512 special train services for long-distance passengers daily, says a statement from the public rail transport operator.
Apart from these, 5,387 suburban train services and 981 passenger train services were also operational as of 20th April 2021, according to data provided by IR.
As of 21st April 2021, Indian Railways says it is operating 53 special train services from Northern Railway (Delhi area), 41 special train services from Central Railway and 5 special train services from Western Railway daily. These trains link these zones to various parts of the country.
Between 12th April and 21st April 2021, Indian Railways operated 432 special train services from Central and Western Railways and 1166 special train services from Northern Railway (Delhi area).
