Indian Railways (IR) has decided to recruit 150 people for its Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS). These vacancies will be filled up on the basis of Civil Services Examination 2022.
In a letter to the Union Public Service Commission, the Railway Board provided the break up of these 150 vacancies as follows: Scheduled Caste (SC)- 22, Scheduled Tribe (ST)-11, Other Backward Class (OBC)-40 , Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)-15 and Unreserved (UR including EWS)-77.
Four per cent of the total, that is, six vacancies have been earmarked for candidates belonging to persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) category.
