Western Railway (WR) has commissioned a new 10-metre wide foot-over-bridge (FOB) at Bandra station’s south side on January 23, 2020.
The FOB connects platform numbers six and seven to the east side of the station. This new FOB also connects the old south FOB which in turn connects to all other platforms.
The new FOB has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.75 crore and is 99.50 metre long and 10 metre wide.
It has four metre wide staircases that connect to the east side of the station and platforms six and seven and another three metre wide staircase which connects to the old railway South FOB.
WR will close the north staircase of the middle FOB at Bandra station on Platform numbers four and five on January 25, 2020.
This is being done to build a new six metre wide FOB.
