To provide better passenger amenities, many long-distance trains of NFR are being converted to run with modern LHB coaches. From today 15909 / 15910 Avadh Assam Express running between Dibrugarh – Lalgarh is also converted to LHB rake from conventional rake.
Prior to this 15960 / 15959 Kamrup Express was also converted to LHB rake during January, 2020. With this a total of 32 trains of NFR are running with LHB rakes. These LHB rakes are safer for high speed running and fitted with better passenger amenities.
These conversions will provide much comfortable journey experience to the passengers, in line with Indian Railways objective to provide its passengers with enhanced user experience.
Moreover, Northeast Frontier Railway is attaching additional coaches in many trains permanently to provide more accommodation and to reduce the number of wait listed passengers.
