NFR: RPF Rescues 13 Children

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of Northeast Frontier Railway(NFR) rescued 13 minor children between November 18 and 24, 2019 from different stations and trains. They were handed over to their respective guardians or NGOs.

The RPF cracked several cases of theft of passenger’s belongings and apprehended six persons involved in theft with recovery of stolen articles from their possession during November 18 to 21, 2019.

A team of RPF/Katihar conducted checking at Katihar Railway Station on November 18, 2019 against anti-social elements and apprehended two persons and recovered six stolen mobile phones from their possession.

On November 19, 2019, RPF team of Guwahati, while escorting the Train No. 15669 UP Nagaland Express from Guwahati to Lumding, apprehended two persons and recovered 2 cameras, 9 mobile phones, 5 SIM cards and a wallet from their possession.

In another case on November 20, 2019, RPF personnel along with CIB and CPDS team of Guwahati conducted checking at Guwahati Railway Station and apprehended one person with recovery of a stolen mobile phone.

Again on November 21, 2019, one person was apprehended and two stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession. These apprehended people were later handed over to Government Railway Police at Guwahati.

Moreover, 2 touts were apprehended during drives conducted against touting activities at Alipurduar and Sorbhog on November 23, 2019.
