The 12715/12716 Huzur Saheb Nanded – Amritsar Sachkand express will soon run with all rakes being converted to LHB coaches.
The daily train covers 2087 km and connects two of the most holy Sikh religious centres in the country.
The South Central Railway (SCR) run daily train requires four rakes. Three of these rakes were converted into the light weight modern design LHB coach rakes in the previous two months. With the latest allocation of the final set of coaches, the fourth rake will also be converted with effect from the 21st February from Nanded and from 23rd February from Amritsar.
The new composition of the train will be: 12 sleeper class coaches, 4 AC 3 Tier, 1 AC 2 Tier, 1 AC Hot Buffet Car (pantry), 2 general sitting and 2 luggage guard cum generator vans.
The new rake would provide extra capacity for 96 passengers in Sleeper class, 32 in AC 3 Tier, 6 in AC 2 Tier coaches over the previously existing capacity. The new rakes are also technically fit for 160kmph operations. However, the train will run at a maximum speed of 110 kmph.
