South Central Railway (SCR) has added 23 more stations to its list of junction stations with immediate effect .
Henceforth the suffix Jn. would be added to the names of these stations.
The stations to which the Jn suffix would be added are :-
Cuddapah, Pendekallu, Kalluru, Raichur, Obulavaripalle and Yerraguntla in Guntakal division; Akanapet, Manoharabad, Devarakadra and Gadwal in Hyderabad division; Nallapadu, Savalyapuram, Nandyal, Piduguralla New and Vishnupuram in Guntur division; Kakinada Town, Venkatachalam and Kommarapudi in Vijayawada division; and Khanapur, Latur Road, Bethampudi, Pagidipalli and Telapur in Secunderabad division of SCR.
The move is necessitated due to commissioning of new lines making these stations a junction.
