Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Kacheguda Railway Station of Hyderabad Division detained two persons at the main entrance who were carrying huge cash in trolley bag which was noticed during their baggage scanning check.
The two persons were proceeding to travel by Train No. 17606 from Kacheguda Railway Station to Kozhikode. During the inquiry they have failed to produce documents related to the cash in their possession and informed that they got the money from selling of beetle nuts at Hyderguda area in Hyderabad city.
They were carrying an amount of Rs. 49.51 lakhs in a trolley bag in the denomination of 2000, 500 & 100 rupees note bundles. The two persons were handed over to Government Railway Police (GRP) for further inquiry and in turn GRP has registered a case and the unaccounted cash had been handed over to Income Tax Department.
