First terminating train on South Central Railway, Train no. 02438 New Delhi – Secunderabad AC superfast special train which departed New Delhi at 16.00hrs of 17th May, 2020 has arrived at Secunderabad Station at 13.45 hrs of 18th May, 2020.
It is the first weekly special Train service between New Delhi and Secunderabad, which was announced by Railway Ministry. 528 passengers alighted the Special Train at Secunderabad Railway station.
To handle the passengers at the Secunderabad Station, elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure well-coordinated movement of the passengers in the wake of prevailing situation of COVID-19:
- The entire station was cleaned and disinfected to ensure healthy premises for the safety of the passengers.
- Thermal screening was done for all the Passengers alighting from the Special Train at the Station. The passengers who were found asymptotic were advised to undergo Home quarantine.
- Sanitizers were made available for the benefit of the passengers.
- Proper markings were done on the Platform areas for guiding the passengers to practice social distancing while at the Station.
- Thorough check was done to ensure that all passengers are wearing face masks/face cover.
Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway complimented the officials and staff of Secunderabad Division for making elaborate arrangements for safe handling of passengers at the Station. He advised them to strictly follow the guidelines provided in the prevailing COVID19 situation.
