SER extends running of parcel specials

South Eastern Railway (SER) will continue the running of  00615/00616 KSR Bengaluru-Howrah Bi-weekly Parcel Express Special, 00617/00618 KSR Bengnaluru-Dimapur Weekly Parcel Express Special and 00619/00620 KSR Bengaluru-Guwahati Weekly Parcel Express Special trains up to March 2021 in diverted route with revised timings as given below :

00616/00615 Howrah – KSR Bengaluru Bi-weekly Parcel  Express Special

00616 Howrah-KSR Bengaluru Bi-weekly Parcel Express Special will leave Howrah every Friday and Sunday at 12:00 hrs during the period from 10/01/2021 to 02/4/2021 and will reach KSR Bengaluru at 08:40 hrs  on Sunday and Tuesday respectively.

In the opposite direction, 00615 KSR Bengaluru-Howrah Parcel Express Special leaves KSR Bengaluru every Wednesday and Friday at 12:00 hrs during the period from 08/01/2021 to 31/3/2021 and will reach Howrah at 06:15 hrs on Friday and Sunday respectively.

The train will stop at Mecheda, Panskura, Kharagpur and Balasore in SER jurisdiction.

00617/00618 KSR Bengaluru-Dimapur Weekly Parcel  Express Special

00617 KSR Bengaluru-Dimapur Weekly Parcel Express Special will leave KSR Bengaluru every Sunday at 12:00 hrs during the period from 10/01/2021 to 28/3/2021 and will reach Dimapur at 15:00 hrs  on Wednesday.

In the opposite direction, 00618  Dimapur-KSR Bengaluru Parcel Express Special will leave Dimapur every Wednesday at 17:30 hrs during the period from 13/01/2021 to 31/3/2021 and will reach KSR Bengaluru at 23:00 hrs on Saturday.

The train will stop at Mecheda, Panskura, Kharagpur and Balasore in SER jurisdiction.

 00619/00620 KSR Bengaluru-Guwahati Weekly Parcel  Express Special

00619 KSR Bengaluru-Guwahati Weekly Parcel Express Special will leave KSR Bengaluru every Tuesday at 12:00 hrs during the period from 12/01/2021 to 30/3/2021 and will reach Guwahati at 07:10 hrs  on Friday.

In the opposite direction, 00620 Guwahati -KSR Bengaluru Parcel Express Special will leave Guwahati every Saturday at 04:00 hrs during the period from 16/01/2021 to 03/4/2021 and will reach KSR Bengaluru at 23:00 hrs on Monday.

The train will stop at Mecheda, Panskura, Kharagpur and Balasore in SER jurisdiction.

Kharagpur division handles over 5.98 lakh tonnes of foodgrains and salt

SER’s Kharagpur Division 5,98,500 tonnes of food grains and salt have been unloaded from 250 rakes of food grain which arrived at its different stations and sidings.

Of this, 3,85,434 tonnes of wheat was unloaded from 161 rakes; 1,81,944 tonnes of rice was unloaded from 76 rakes and 31,122 tonnes of salt was unloaded from 13 rakes.

The rakes were unloaded at different locations of Kharagpur Division such as Midnapur, Kalaikunda, Kharagpur, Rupsa, and Sankrail Goods Terminal Yard between March 20 and December 31 of last calendar year 2020.

SER earns over Rs 6.25 crore from parcel traffic

SER earned Rs 625.55 lakhs ( over Rs 6.25 crore) by despatching 16.12 tonnes of parcel and luggage traffic during the month of December 2020.

Major items transported by SER include food items, groceries, medicines, medical equipment including PPE kits, masks, sanitizers, coveralls, gloves, fish, fruits, eggs, cotton goods, gunny bags, vegetables, onion, ginger, garlic besides and other daily needs.
