Competent Authority has decided to fully de-reserve the following train with effect from 17.03.2021 as detailed below.
Train No.06087 / 06088 Arakkonam – Salem – Arakkonam MEMU trains will be run as fully unreserved trains with Mail / Express fare structure with effect from 17.03.2021.
Booking Centres for Unreserved Ticketing System will be activated at all stopping stations already notified for the above trains duly enabling provision for issue of Season Tickets. Revalidation of Seasons Tickets shall be effect from 15.03.2021, the date of re-introduction of first unreserved trains post Covid. For example, if on date of declaration of lockdown (24th March, 2020), 20 days were left in the Season Ticket, 20 days should be revalidated with effect from 15.03.2021 for that Season Ticket. This will be irrespective of the date of actual journey performed.
Kindly resume all Local Passenger Services between 1. Mayiladuthurai – Thanjavur & Tiruchirapalli Junctions 2. Mayiladuthurai – Villupuram Junction, immediately in the Main Line of Southern Railway Tiruchirapalli Division.
