Southern Railway: Changes in pattern of Train services

Due to land slip between Kuliturai and Eraniel Railway Stations in Nagercoil – Thiruvananthapuram section, at KM 267/800-900 at 20:40 hrs of 12-11-21, and due to water logging at Km 5/350 – 650 from 02.35 hrs in Nagercoil – Kanniyakumari section, the following are the changes. 

*Restoration work is in progress at both the places*

·        T.No 16366 Nagercoil  – Kottayam Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 13.00 hrs on 13.11.2021 is fully cancelled.

PARTIAL CANCELLATION

· \ KSR Bengaluru

·        T.No 16526 KSR Bengaluru – Kanniyakumari Express which left KSR Bengaluru at 20.10 hrs on 12.11.2021 is partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram and Kanniyakumari and will be short terminated at Thiruvananthapuram.

·        T.No 16723 Chennai Egmore – Kollam Express which left Chennai Egmore at 20.10 hrs on 12.11.2021 is partially cancelled between Nagercoil – Kollam and will be short terminated at Nagercoil. 

·        T.No 16724 Kollam – Chennai Egmore Express scheduled to leave Kollam at 15.00 hrs on 13.11.2021 is partially cancelled between Kollam and Nagercoil and will run between Nagercoil and Chennai Egmore.

·        T.No 22627 /22628 Tiruchchirappalli – Thiruvananthapuram Intercity Expresses of 13.11.2021 are partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram and will run between Tiruchchirappalli and Nagercoil from both ends. 

 SHORT TERMINATION

·        T.No 16128 Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore Express that left Guruvayur at 23.10 hrs on 12.11.2021 will be short terminated at Neyattinkara.

Incessant rains have caused landslides at Km 248/800-900 in Neyyatinkara – Parassala section and at 260/300-400 in Eraniel – Kulithurai section this morning. Waterlogging is also reported at 5/350-650 in Nagercoil Jn.- Kanniyakumari section. In view of safety the following train services are cancelled fully/partially. 

Traffic restoration work is progressing in all the above-mentioned locations. 

FULL CANCELLATION

1.    Train No. 16366 Nagercoil Jn. – Kottayam Daily Passenger is fully cancelled on 13^th November, 2021(Today).

2.    Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur Daily Express will be fully cancelled on 14^th November, 2021(Tomorrow).

PARTIAL CANCELLATION

1.    Train No. 16525 Kanniyakumari – KSR Bengaluru Daily Island Express scheduled to leave Kanniyakumari on 13^th November, 2021 will commence service from Thiruvananthapuram Central as the train is partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram Central.

2.    Train No. 16526 KSR Bengaluru – Kanniyakumari Daily Island Express that left KSR Bengaluru on 12^th November, 2021 will be short terminated at Thiruvananthapuram Central. The train is partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kanniyakumari.

3.    Train No. 16723 Chennai Egmore – Kollam Junction Ananthapuri Express leaving Chennai Egmore on 12^th November, 2021 will be short terminated at Nagercoil Junction.

4.    Train No. 16724 Kollam Junction – Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express scheduled to leave Kollam Jn. on 13^th November, 2021 will commence service from Nagercoil Jn. as the train is partially cancelled between Kollam Jn. and Nagercoil Jn.

5.    Train No. 22627 Tiruchchirappalli Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Intercity Express will be short terminated at Nagercoil Jn. on 13^th November, 2021. The train is partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn. and Thiruvananthapuram Central.

6.    Train No. 22628 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Tiruchchirappalli Junction Daily Intercity Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central on 13^th November, 2021 will commence service from Nagercoil Jn. The train is partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Nagercoil Jn.

7.    Train No. 16128 Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore Daily Express that left Guruvayur on 12^th November, 2021 will be short terminated at Neyyatinkara. The train is partially cancelled between Neyyatinkara and Chennai Egmore.

8.    Train No. 16650 Nagercoil Junction – Mangalore Central Daily Parasuram Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil Jn. on 13^th November, 2021 commenced service from Thiruvananthapuram Central due to partial cancellation between Nagercoil Jn. and Thiruvananthapuram Central.

9.    Train No. 12666 Kanniyakumari – Howrah Weekly Express scheduled to leave Kanniyakumari on 13^th November, 2021 has been partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Nagercoil Jn. The train commenced service from Nagercoil Jn.

10. Train No. 12633 Chennai Egmore – Kanniyakumari Daily Exprss that left Chennai Egmore on 12^th November, 2021 will be short terminated at Nagercoil Jn. The train is partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn. and Kanniyakumari today.

LANDSLIP AT Km 267/800-900 CLEARED

In spite of heavy rains the landslips that occurred at Km 267/800 – 900 in Kulithurai – Eraniel at 20.40 hrs. yesterday(12^th November, 2021) has been completed removed and track restored at 02.10 hrs. on 13^th November, 2021.
