Southern Railway to run Aggregated Parcel Van Special Trains
In the wake of Covid-19,Southern Railway offers its unhindered services for nationwide transportation of essential commodities like foodgrains, coal for powerhouses etc through wagons.
Now with special reference to movement of medicines, medical equipment, masks etc railway parcel vans are available for the only mass quick transportation across the nation for the needy customers including State governments.
To start with, such aggregated parcel vans trains are ready to be run :
1.Coimbatore-Patel Nagar (Delhi region) – Coimbatore.
2. Coimbatore – Rajkot- Coimbatore.
3. Coimbatore – Jaipur- Coimbatore.
4. Salem – Batinda .
Interested parties may approach the Railway Parcel Offices for registration.
The services will be run as per extant rules and on payment of parcel/freight charges.
It may please be noted a minimum of 15 parcel vans needs to be aggregated in groups /individualy to run the said services (each VP capacity is 23 tonnes).
Apart from the above, any other Origin – Destination points are also welcome for inquiry and registration.
The Industrial houses, companies, any interested groups, organizations, individuals are requested to avail of the rail services of Southern Railway.
