Steep airfares between India’s busiest sector Mumbai -New Delhi due to Jet Airways suspending operations have prompted Indian Railways (IR) to start another set of AC specials between the two cities.
Western Railway has augmented train number 09005/09006 with an additional AC 3 tier coach effective April 19 and has increased the frequency of this train from bi-weekly to tri-weekly. In addition, IR will run another set of bi-weekly trains (04419/ 04420) between the two cities with the same rake composition (see table below). The details are as follows:
