In wake of the outbreak of COVID-19, Hubballi Division has undertaken the initiative to sanitize each and every residential unit in various railway colonies and all the offices where essential employees are working. Sodium Hypochlorite at 1% for disinfecting the surfaces is being regularly sprayed by the Housekeeping Assistants under the supervision of Health Inspectors working in Medical Department.
The railway stations over Hubballi Division are also being cleaned and sanitized regularly. Cleaning and sanitization of major railway stations over Hubballi Division viz., Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Londa, Vasco Da Gama, Gadag, Ballari, Hosapete, Vijayapura etc. has been undertaken by the Environment & Housekeeping Department of the Division.
The cleaning staff have been sensitized about their role in preventing the COVID-19 outbreak and have been advised to wear protective gears while performing the cleaning work.
