Many trains like the Falaknuma express, Sabari express and Hyderabad – Chennai express which needed a loco change at Guntur or Vijayawada will now be able to run with end to end electric locos, thus saving time and improving punctuality of the trains.
Trains like the Palnadu express, Lingampalli – Vijayawada Intercity express which were running on diesel will now be able to run end to end on electric locos, adding to the savings from reduced diesel consumption.
Good work by SCR. They should work on the schedule of some long distance trains and try to reduce the running time.
finally happening – long over due; according to local vernacular press, the date had been postponed to 14th Sep; needs confirmation from SCR/GNT division though
Very HAPPY to know SCR made great progress. Less dependent on imported FUEL. I CONGRATULATE ALL THE STAFF AND NARENDER MODI GOVT. I WISH TO SEE VERY SOON ALL LOCO ENGINES RUN BY ELECTRIC TRACTION GOD BLESS INDIA AND RAILWAYS
