Western Railway has taken decision to run one pair of additional MEMU services for Essential Services staff, which will run between Virar and Dahanu Road on the Mumbai Suburban section with effect from 16th July, 2020.
Currently, WR is running 350 special services of local trains on its Mumbai Suburban section, only for essential services staff as identified by Govt of Maharashtra. WR is running a total of 161 services between Virar and Churchgate (82 in UP direction & 79 in DOWN direction), 7 services between Nallasopara and Churchgate, 2 services between Vasai Road and Churchgate, 2 services between Virar and Borivali, 2 services between Vasai Road and Borivali, 134 services between Churchgate and Borivali (70 in UP direction & 64 in DOWN direction), 6 services between Mahalaxmi and Borivali, 6 services between Churchgate and Dahanu Road, 2 services between Borivali and Dahanu Road and 28 services between Virar and Dahanu Road.
These services are being run with defined protocol & SOP, only for the movement of essential govt. as identified by the State Govt. The details of the additional MEMU services between Virar and Dahanu Road are as follows:
