Indian Railways (IR) lost Rs 105 crore in the last three years to sabotage and law and order related issues, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal stated in written reply in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

The number of trains delayed due to law and order problems during the last three financial years, is as under:

IR registered a total of 82 cases of destruction of its property over the last three years.
Haryana, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal witnessed maximum cases of destruction of railway property during the last three years that is 2016, 2017 & 2018.
However, West Bengal has not provided figures after August 2018, the Railway Minister said.
