Vandals throw banana leaves on OHE, train movement affected on ER

Train movements in Baruipur Diamond -Harbour and Baruipur-Lakshmikantapur sections were affected today due to obstruction o­n non-Railway cause and banana leaves thrown o­n overhead wire at different places.

In  Baruipur- Diamond Harbour section, obstruction was made at Hotar from 4:43 hrs. to 5:06 hrs.

In Baruipur- Lakshmikantapur section, Banana leaves were thrown o­n overhead wire between Gocharan and Dakshin Barasat stations at 4:13 hrs, which were cleared at 5:05 hrs. by sending Tower Van. Again Banana leaves were thrown o­n overhead wire between Gocharan and Dakshin Barasat station at 7:00 hrs., cleared by sending Tower Van at 8:30 hrs. Train movements were also obstructed near Dhap Dhapi station from 7:50 hrs. to 8:25 hrs.

Obstruction o­n non-Railway cause made again near Dhap Dhapi station of Baruipur- Lakshmikantapur section from 9:25 hrs. to 9.55 hrs., at Baharu from 12.25 hrs. to 13.45 hrs. Banana leaves thrown again o­n overhead wire between Dakshin Barasat and Jaynagar Majilpur stations affecting train movement in Baruipur – Lakshmikantapur section from 15.42 hrs. to 17.05 hrs.

In Sealdah – Bangaon section, public obstruction o­n non-Railway cause made at Bira from 15.06 hrs. to 15.50 hrs.

In Howrah Division, train movements were obstructed at a level crossing gate near Chattra station o­n Khana – Gumani section from 11.14 hrs. to 11.45 hrs.

In Asansol Division obstructions were made at Sainthia & Kunuri stations from 13.44 hrs. to 14.52 hrs.

Train movements in Krishnanagar-Lalgola section of Sealdah Division   & New Farakka -Azimganj section of Malda Division could not be resumed.

TRAIN SERVICES o­n SEALDAH (SOUTH) – BUDGE BUDGE SECTION RESUMED

After withdrawal of public obstruction o­n Sealdah (South) – Budge Budge section at 17.47 hrs. o­n date, train services o­n the section resumed. The first train 34154 DN Sealdah – Budge Budge local left Sealdah at 17.48 hrs.

 In view of the o­ngoing agitation and law & order problem o­n New Farakka – Azimganj section of Malda Division of Eastern Railway and in N.F.Railway system, following trains will be cancelled o­n 17.12.2019:-
