Western Railway’s (WR) Bhavnagar Terminus was recently given a facelift at a cost of Rs 8.72 crore.
It is now a ground plus one structure and has with modern waiting rooms, better toilet facilities, proper parking areas, newly built ticket booking office, along with a beautiful vertical garden.
For handling passenger flow better, additional entry and exit gates have been provided.
The parking area has been extended with additional space given to both two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
Amenities such as lift, separate AC waiting halls for men and women have been provided. The passenger reservation centre has been shifted for the benefit of passengers. Besides, a luggage scanner has been installed for the safety of passengers.
Bhavnagar Terminus now joins the other stations over WR which have been recently upgraded such as Valsad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Ratlam.
